Matt Hammit, MD, FAAOS
Dr. Matt Hammit, a board certified orthopaedic surgeon, specializes in sports medicine and foot and ankle reconstruction. He uses minimally invasive arthroscopic techniques to address rotator cuff disorders, shoulder instability, biceps tendon injuries, ACL tears, meniscus tears and knee instability. He also repairs Achilles tears, performs flat foot reconstruction and does bunion correction.
As a physician, Dr. Hammit’s philosophy is to care for patients like they were his own family, treating their orthopaedic problems with the latest techniques available in order to achieve the best result possible.
Throughout his career, Dr. Hammit has been a team physician for The Carolina Panthers, Ole Miss Rebels, Prairie View A&M Panthers, Oak Ridge High School, Grand Oaks High School, Magnolia High School, Magnolia West High School, Westfield High School and Spring High School. He is currently the team physician for The Conroe Tigers, where he attended high school.
Dr. Hammit lives in The Woodlands where he attends The Woodlands United Methodist Church, lives with his wife and three sons, and has served on the Board of Directors for Meals on Wheels of Montgomery County.
